The median duration (in days) between manuscript submission and the first editorial decision. The initial decision may consist of an editorial rejection before peer review (“desk rejection"), a recommendation to submit the manuscript to another journal, or the initiation of the peer-review process by inviting reviewers.
Time in peer review	30-45 days
The median number of days a manuscript remains in the first round of peer review, measured from the date the reviewer invitations are sent to the date the corresponding editorial decision is made. Possible outcomes at this stage include a request for revision, rejection, or acceptance.
Time from submission to acceptance	95 days
The median duration (in days) from manuscript submission to editorial acceptance.
Time from acceptance to online publication	30
The median duration (in days) from editorial acceptance to the online publication of the article.

The authors will be notified about the acceptance/decline/rejection of their paper within 45 days after submission by e-mail.
